Travelling to Uganda
Published Nov 30, 2018Travelling in Uganda - Visiting the Ngamba island
With a warm but cool climate, Uganda packs
a lot in for its small size. Ten national parks protect over half of the
world’s gorillas, and chimpanzees, including leopards, lions, elephants and
hippos. Over 1,000 species of birds inhabit its mountains, forests, wetlands
and the Lake Victoria.
Uganda remains a tribal nation, with a variety on the music, dance and traditional dresses and with over 40 recognised languages. But one word you’ll hear wherever you are is “Welcome!” along with “mzungu!” which means “foreigner”.
