The Art of Staying In | Stillness and Movement | Covid-19
Two artistic photography series created during the Covid-19 period, exploring family life, imagination, colour, and the beauty of everyday moments.
Through the Quiet Days
During the Covid-19 pandemic, our lives became smaller, our routines changed, and home took on a new meaning. In a period marked by uncertainty and restrictions, photography became a way to explore creativity, find beauty in the ordinary, and interpret the world around me through a personal artistic lens.
These two projects emerged during those days. One looks inward, at family, home, and the relationships that shaped our everyday lives. The other turns to colour, movement, and the simple beauty of nature.
1. Family Moments - Stillness
A conceptual photography series exploring family life during the Covid-19 period. Through carefully staged compositions, everyday scenes become imaginative visual narratives: a mother cooking by a window, a grandmother surrounded by hanging protective masks, and a father reading while books float around him.
Rather than documenting life as it happened, the series uses symbolism, staging, and visual imagination to reflect on home, connection, isolation, and the ways we adapted to an extraordinary time.
2. Fruit Splash - Movement
An art still-life series exploring colour, texture, movement, and the beauty of everyday natural elements. Close-up images capture fruits splashing into water, transforming simple subjects into dynamic and visually expressive compositions.
Created during the Covid-19 period, the project offered a creative exploration of movement, light, and colour, finding inspiration in the details of the ordinary world during a time when everyday experiences had changed.
